B. Family

Lets talk props, more specifically balloons.  I have a love/hate relationship with them.  They look great in photos, but they are a pain to deal with.  They pop while inflating, they pop in the car (and scare the living daylights out of me!) or then if they survive it all the way to the location, they pop once there and make the poor kid cry or they let go of the balloon before the photo has even been taken!!

In this case, I had told the Mom that I had a big pink balloon that I wanted to use, filled with confetti.  This is what happened:

  • First ballon was under deflated. Couldn’t use it.
  • Tried again, this time I over inflated it, it burst, in my office.  Confetti EVERYWHERE.
  • Tried again, this time, helium tank ran out.
  • Arghhhh!!
  • Used bubbles instead 🙂

But who needs balloons when you have a gorgeous family to photograph?!

B. Family

Blogging seems to be the last thing I get around to doing.  This family’s photo session was taken during the second half of the year, and since then I have already done another session with them…which will be blogged a lot quicker than this one.

Mom wanted a family session, with a focus on her newborn.  I was able to do that, but also show how much love they have for the addition to their lovely family.

When you have someone with great hair, smile and shoes (oh those shoes!) this session was already going to be a success.  Add in a charming husband and a beautiful baby girl and it was a dream for me to shoot.

Baby E played with me, didn’t fuss at all and showed me her sweet little grin with a handful of teeth when asked 🙂  This family was so lovely to be around and I can’t wait to see you again very soon!

BFF – Dallas Family and Child Photographer

Please meet a  little girl who is very special to me.  Her mother is my BFF, and not the type of BFF that the young kids have, where their BFF’s change just as frequently as the weather does, but the kind that you have since childhood.

I’ve known her since she was little, we grew up on the same street, went to the same school, spent many school holidays together and even moved to the states around the same time.  We now have enough dirt on each other to know its best to keep our mouths shut 🙂

I may be biased, but I think my BFF has the cutest happy* baby girl, and I love her nearly as much as I do my own children.  My kids are pretty smitten by her too!
