S. Family – Dallas Family Photographer

This family have their favorite local Dallas park, and we have kept their photo sessions at the same place every year (except for that one time when their family grew by one and it was too cold for their newborn!).  There is something very special when you keep the location the same as you can really see how much the kids have grown year on year against the familiar backdrop.

The kids are growing up, getting taller, running faster and loving on each other just that little bit more 🙂

We squeezed this photo session into the very end of last year.  I don’t normally do photo sessions between Christmas and New Years, but when a friend calls and asks for a time slot as her sister is in town with her family, I couldn’t say no.  They wanted to do a combined family session as a sweet gift to their mom.  Who would have thought that the weather would have been so lovely over winter, but we were lucky.

Both the older cousins wanted to give plenty of hugs to their younger cousin, and she was only too happy to receive them!  They were all so happy just playing with each other!

We picked another field location for their second photo session with me.  Their first session was great and some of the photos had even won a few online photography competitions, so the pressure was on to make this session even better.   The girls were wonderful, the clothes and accessories were spot on, and the love that this family have for each other shone through.  I’d say that this session was even better than the last one.

We had planned this shoot for a few days earlier, but it was cloudy and gloomy.  After talking to the Mom and telling her I really wanted a sunny evening for her session, she rearranged their work/activities and we moved it to a Tuesday afternoon.  And…it was perfect.  When the client listens, and understands that the weather ultimately decides if their is a session or not, it really helps me do my job.

The middle daughter is my daughters school friend.  She is kind, shy and funny, her older sister is more extrovert and knew exactly how to pose in front of the camera, and her baby sister is the one that keeps them all on their toes.

Mom and Dad, you have three wonderful girls and I loved spending that warm Dallas evening with you.
