Wow, these kid have grown since I first photographed them a couple of years ago!   This time around we went for a rural location and their grandparents joined in on the fun.  We walked around the park, caught up on what they have done since we had last met and played in the long grass…which was maybe a mistake as the next day, they all had lots of insect bites 🙁

Next time we may be going urban again!

We picked another field location for their second photo session with me.  Their first session was great and some of the photos had even won a few online photography competitions, so the pressure was on to make this session even better.   The girls were wonderful, the clothes and accessories were spot on, and the love that this family have for each other shone through.  I’d say that this session was even better than the last one.

We had planned this shoot for a few days earlier, but it was cloudy and gloomy.  After talking to the Mom and telling her I really wanted a sunny evening for her session, she rearranged their work/activities and we moved it to a Tuesday afternoon.  And…it was perfect.  When the client listens, and understands that the weather ultimately decides if their is a session or not, it really helps me do my job.

The middle daughter is my daughters school friend.  She is kind, shy and funny, her older sister is more extrovert and knew exactly how to pose in front of the camera, and her baby sister is the one that keeps them all on their toes.

Mom and Dad, you have three wonderful girls and I loved spending that warm Dallas evening with you.

This session took place before Christmas, and the Mum had bought some pj’s from England for her boys and wanted to include them in the photos, with the possibility of using them in her Christmas cards.

Quick clothing change and it was time for family photos.  But by then, they were done with photos and ready to run…away from me 🙂  These boys are full of life, laughter and energy, and I know their parents wouldn’t want it any other way.

Omg, these kids!  Going into a session with them, you just never know how it will be.  This was my 3rd session with them, the first one was in a field, the second was more urban, this time around we decided on a mix of both.  Well, we know from now on, they are not rural kids.  A sight of a spider or an ant sent them running.  All the Mom and I could do was laugh at them. Oh and the heat, they aren’t big fans of the Dallas heat, but nor am I!
