I am going to commit to blogging more.

I am going to commit to blogging more.

There, I’ve said it. Which means I have to follow through right?

And I want to start with this session. 10 mins into shooting and I knew that this would be a top contender for one of my all time photo shoots (aside from my own family ones of course!). It was the type of session where I didn’t want the sun to go down, I wanted the kids to keep going on one more ride, have one more sweet treat, and goof around just a little bit longer.

Did you know that there is quick sand in Dallas?!  Well, there is, at least some version of it.  We were nearly done with this session, when I had the bright idea of asking this family to go to one more location, on the sand, as the water/fake lake had receded.  One of the girls and I went first and within seconds, her shoe was stuck in the sand, and she was slowly sinking in (very slowly, but enough for said shoe to be lost).  Camera bag was also left on the sand, so I ended up carrying her while Dad rushed in to grab my bag.  In the process I think Mom had also come in, and by the end of it, all shoes were not only incredibly dirty, but smelt awful 🙁

When you book a session with me, you don’t know where you will end up, but it will be and adventure and you will end up laughing at the end!

They have their next session scheduled in a few months, but its safe to say, we will stay on solid ground!

S. Family – Dallas Family Photographer

This family have their favorite local Dallas park, and we have kept their photo sessions at the same place every year (except for that one time when their family grew by one and it was too cold for their newborn!).  There is something very special when you keep the location the same as you can really see how much the kids have grown year on year against the familiar backdrop.

The kids are growing up, getting taller, running faster and loving on each other just that little bit more 🙂

Miss M – Dallas, Senior Photo Session

Meet this stunning Senior!!!    I had taken her homecoming photos the year before, it was a 20 min session close to where she lived.  But for her senior photos, I had told her that we would not stay local and I was going to take her somewhere with an edgy vibe, kinda like her 🙂

We headed Downtown thanksgiving week.  We got lucky, Deep Ellum was surprisingly empty and we were able to use whatever backdrop we wanted.  The game plan was to walk around, have her choose whatever graffiti/wall she liked and smile.  And wow her smile…!
